worship
at spicer
Each Sunday morning at 10am we gather together to worship God.
Here's what happens during a service:
music
Music is a great way to set aside our cares and stresses, at least for a while, and to focus on God. We're blessed to have an excellent music team to lead us in worship. They cover everything from the greatest hymns of the church on the magnificent pipe organ, to the latest contemporary rock and pop styles. There's something for everyone, and you don't have to sing if you don't feel comfortable, just follow the words on the screen and soak up the sounds!
teaching
Each week we hear readings from the Bible. Our Minister, Matthew Bond or one of our Lay Preachers will speak for a short while, helping us to understand and explain what God is saying to us, and how we can apply what we learn to our daily lives.
prayer
Through prayer we can speak personally with God, and hear what God has to say in reply. We give praise to God through prayer, we thank God for what He does in our lives, we pray for our world, for others, and for ourselves. We'd love to pray for you too, and have a prayer suggestions box on the front fence that you can leave a note in at any time with any prayer requests. Barista coffee is available after the service once a month, proceeds supporting Ameto our Project Compassion sponsor child.
food and coffee
Spicer is also blessed with a bevy of master chefs! After the service we gather together for morning tea and coffee, where we can catch up with each other, say hi, introduce ourselves to you and get to know each other. It's a great chance to ask questions about what you've seen and heard, and to find out more about who we are and what we do, we'd love to see you there!
What we believe
